FAQ

My son joined after first grade.  Is he behind or does he need to catch up?
No.  The only makeup that needs to be done is the Bobcat badge.  This can normally be done within the first couple weeks of the year.

Does my son need to attend all of the meetings and activities?
There is no requirement to attend all of the meeting and activities.  However, the meetings and activities are designed to help with the Scouts’ advancement and attendance is encouraged.

Can mothers take part in Scouting?
Absolutely.  Scouting has become more inclusive in recent years and is no longer just a father/son activity.  Mothers are welcomed and encouraged to participate.  Siblings are also welcome at most of our activities.

Where can we get a uniform?
Uniforms are available at the Scout Shop located at 8335 N Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33410. There is also a Mobile Scout Shop which sells uniforms at some Scouting events.  The full uniform should cost around $80-100.

How can I volunteer?
We thought you’d never ask.  Scouting is a volunteer-led group.  We have opportunities doing everything from coordinating an activity to leading a den.  The more volunteers we have the easier it gets for all of us.  Please talk to the Cubmaster for more details.

Time Commitment:

One Pack meeting and one Den meeting per month.Fun activities throughout the month
Attendance is not mandatory at all events, but your son will benefit from attending as many as possible.

What does it cost to join the Scouts?

Our annual registration fee is $100. This fee includes a Pack t-shirt, awards, badges and many activities. Uniform and camping fees are extra.
